Come and study the techniques of Waterless Lithography and Collagraph in the beautiful surrounds of Florence, the art capital and cultural epicentre of the western world.

Participants at any level of experience will be welcome from beginners to practicing printmakers, book artists, papermakers and painters.  An appetite and enthusiasm for all things aesthetic are the only prerequisites as you soak up all this city of timeless masterpieces has to offer.

Il Bisonte workshop

Il Bisonte is situated in the picturesque neighborhood  of San Niccolò - a stone's throw away from such cultural delights as  the Pitti Palace, the Uffizzi, Ponte Vecchio,  Santa Croce, and Piazzale Michelangelo.

The school studios are well equipped with numerous etching presses, hotplates and inking tables. In addition, there is a comfortable outdoor courtyard. An opportunity to access the studio outside of class times (for a nominal fee) is also available.

Enjoy 12 days of studio-based teaching where you will receive personalised instruction and practice hands-on the technique of Waterless Lithography alongside other printmakers in a relaxed and welcoming environment. We are offering Collagraph lessons as an option. During the workshop we will take the mystery out of the Waterless Lithography process, creating plates by various methods.

Join printmakers Annie Day and Robin Ezra in the historic heart of Florence at “Il Bisonte”, the world famous printmaking studio that has collaborated with artists such as Picasso and Moore.
