The photos above are selected pages of Kate B's Florentine Journal.

Kate began creating the journal before she left home, she researched places she wanted to visit and found images to incorporate.
In Italy Kate continued to add images, postcards, tickets, drawings and her own prints and now has this lovely visual record, a lasting memento of her time in Florence.
Begin your journal before you set off for Italy, start dreaming of all the experiences awaiting you.

Accommodation in Florence
Look for apartments rather than hotel accommodation - apartments are  more spacious and economical for a longer stay.  Often rental for 1 month costs just a little more than 2 weeks. Think about sharing with a friend it can be quite a saving and a lot more fun! It seems good value to allow yourself extra days either side of the course to soak up the atmosphere and visit wonderful galleries. churches and monuments.
Most apartments have washing machines and being able to prepare meals in your apartment makes for economical living.

  • Some of the old Pallazzi have very high ceilings and upper floors can be a long climb so if that is a problem look for an apartment with a lift.

  • Best areas for walking to the studio are: Historic Centre, Duomo, Santa Croce, Ponte Vecchio, Oltrano and Santa Spirito.

  • Calculate price with this link; http://www.ozforex.com.au/cgi-bin/currency-converter.asp

  • Il Bisonte is situated in the Oltrarno - other side of the Arno river http://www.ilbisonte.it/where.htm   It takes around 10 to 15 minutes to walk from The Uffizi and Piazza Della Signoria, and about 10 minute walk from Santa Croce.

  • Federico Pieri is a reputable real estate agent  www.houseinflorence.it   we found him very helpful and reliable, we can definitely recommend Federico.

  • We are very happy to help out with any questions.  If you are unsure of the proximity of any area to the studio, please email us .
