Sally is a Uk based Fine Artist who likes to primarily work with printmaking, photography and collage. This course covers many of Sally’s favourite techniques and approaches.  

 

DISCOVERING PLACE - MIXED MEDIA ASSEMBLAGES

An intensive mark making workshop combining drawing, print and stitch. 

In this course you will create a group of mixed media assemblages on paper and fabric using the location around you to fuel and inspire ideas. You will learn ways of combining various drawing and print media and produce assemblages that celebrate the art of mark making using a host of tools, media and approaches.   

 

The course will begin with ways to collect ideas and generate marks that translate your starting points. Using a combination of processes, such as collagraph and monoprint you will have the opportunity to translate your imagery into drawings and prints. We will then create assemblages using collage and machine stitch. 

 

Although the emphasis will be on small scale experimentation you will be encouraged to take a few of your pieces to a more resolved stage.

Just what is a Studio Workshop?

A Studio Workshop is an exclusive opportunity to learn from leading Australian and international fibre artists in an inspiring, small-group setting.

This is a 2 day intensive workshop led by a renowned visiting tutor. The course is  designed to immerse you deeply in creative exploration and skill-building.

Cost: A$450.00  — includes catered lunches and some materials.

While these are non-residential workshops, we’ve provided a LINK  to nearby accommodation options, from the friendly local pub to cosy B&Bs and house rentals.

Lunches, morning and afternoon teas for these workshops are catered for.

located in beautiful Robertson, NSW
